Strider AD. Will it be discontinued? Why?

I am in the midst of planning on getting an AD. I understand that that what ever exists is the last run? Can anyone tell me why it will be discontinued? Also, which is preferred? The AD or SA?

i was also planning on getting an AD or SA. But I decided to get an HT instead. It's a little bigger, double edged and has a finger guard. I really like it!

Just have to add my .02, I just picked up an AD and I just dig on this thing. Its a perfect little carry piece. A welcomed addition to my larger Striders.
 
I've been out of the country and I haven't checked the forums lately. Now, I find that the AD is being discontinued. On this forum and others, I have sometimes been irritating in my constant pronouncements that the AD is Strider's best knife by far. Of course, I'm prejudiced because mine saved my life in an ugly situation. Despite the similarities between the two knives, I'll miss the AD and am doubly glad that I have mine (that could not be sold for any amount). I especially like the symmetrical scratches on both sides of the blade that were put there by the bones of some very impolite people. R.I.P. AD!
