Strider addiction, help me pick one

About a month ago I decided to sell my Stonewashed frame and blade Green G-10 SMF, so I did. Here is a link to my old post with pictures of it: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6594496

But now I can't get rid of a desire to get another one. This time I torn apart between the following two:
1. Either Black or Green G-10 Smf with Stonewashed blade and flamed Ti.

2. Strider RC Frame lock with Stonewashed Blade.

I never handled or saw in person the RC folder, but I know that it weights 9.2oz, which over 3oz heavier than SMF and costs $150 more. But it looks so cool.
It appears that SMF has more utilitarian form of blade where RC has more of a fighting/tactical style. I can see from the pictures that RC has a thinner tip due to it's upper swedge and I wonder if it's less strong than the SMF's.
Can somebody who has handled both knives share some of their impressions of the comparison of the two.
 
Personally I prefer the SMF over the RC, mainly due to not liking recurve blades.

That said, if you do like the RC, you might want to get one soon as I heard something about Strider stopping production on them.
 
I agree, recureves are hard to sharpen/reprofile, and being a sharpness junky I need to think about that.
 
I have 2 sng and one smf,ain't it cool i have no withdrawls,but back on subject the smf is my pick for edc...........
 
to me the smf is at the size limit of carriability for a folder.

and the rc is larger, so my vote is for another smf.
 
I like the SMF better.

One major reason is that I don't care for the overall "bananna" shape of the RC. I find that on knives shaped like that the tip is not where I expect it to be when cutting and is instead too low. But on straighter knives like the SMF the tip is where I instinctively expect it to be.
 
I have had a Both and can tell you the RC tip my look thinner but it's not. The RCis hands down the toughest folder I have ever seen handled or owned. Including SMFs, SNGs, Sebenzas, ZT300s.... And XM-18s!

The RC is a MONSTER!!!!

Way way too big to carry, go with the SMF :cool:

Hold on now... I was with you right until the XM.... But them's fightin words!
 
Thanks for all the replies. So be it, I will be sending the order tonight for the pictured above SMF, hopefully will get it on hands in the beginning of the next week.

I would honestly bet a RC could chop a XM in half. Honest to GOD!

I have a pic of a bunch of cool tough guy folders in the take down review of the ZT300. RC ZT300 Tanto Sebbie SNG XM and ??? I forgot what else.

On my phone now so I can't post it here. :cool: (the review is in the review forum and I think it has been bumped a week or so ago.. So it might be on page 2... Maybe page 3?)
