I'm trying to figure out how big the Strider AR is compaired to a RCC and was wondering of anyone might have a picture to compair the 2. Thank you!

Thank you very much!!!

It appears that the AR is not to much bigger.

overall length difference is not substantial.

rcc=8.5"
ar=9.25"

thickness:

rcc=.593"
ar=.710"

closed width is about the same:

rcc=1.834"
ar=1.802"

the ar feels much larger. i don't have a scale, but the ar also feels much heavier.

the ar has dual liners, which are very thick. the rcc only has one liner and it is relatively thin.

i love the ar, but its size/weight/carryability limit its use for me. all strider folders are large, especially considering their blade length. it is difficult to see unless you can handle them all. ive found the sng fits my hand best, though i no longer have one.

in hand the AR is a LOT bigger than the RCC FWIW, imho the AR is at the very edge of being too big/thick for pocket carry, ie ya need a belt sheath, & though ya can edc it in a pocket the RCC, SnG, or the SmF are all very much better at that job than an AR/GB.

believe me i have tried.

I have and carry an AR on a daily basis, its in my edc rotation and does get switched out ever so often, but I do find myself carrying it more often than my others. It is a thick knife, but I've slimmed mine down by thinning the G-10 handles. The handles were already rounded and grooved but I cut the grooves wider and deeper and then sanded down the "hills" until I ended up at the thickness I wanted. I had seen a post about moving the pocket clip back to the rear most hole, one that holds the handles together, in order to get a deeper carry. I did this and used a foldover type clip. To keep it thin I inlet the base of the clip over the hole and it has worked out super. The clip lets the entire knife go into my pocket and it is solidly mounted so that the clip does not loosen up with use. The titanium liners are .10" thick, but I think some of the earlier models maybe had liners that were .090" thick? Not sure but seems I read that somewhere in the archives also. I'm not able to check the thickness of my AR at the moment but will when I can and then post it for anyone interested.:D:D

Btw, the weight is around 8.9 ounces for the AR
