I posted this in another forum but feel that it will get wider coverage here.:D

I recently received my Cuda Maxx and it is awesome. It is big and tough and made from the highest quality materials. I know that this is comparing apples to oranges, but how does the Cuda Maxx compare to the Strider AR/GB as a hard use knife?

Which one is the toughest?

That's more like comparing apples to hamburgers ;) I don't think they address the same issues. The Maxx is tough, but I won't be using mine to chop and pry -- except vegetables! I just don't see it as a field knife.

It's a great slicer, which means it's a great slasher, and has the reach to be an awesome fighting bowie. But it's not as massive as the Striders, so I wouldn't hammer with it.

Definately two different worlds. I had a custom Madd Maxx from Darrel last year and have heard that the Camillus production is top notch, without a doubt one of their best. However Esav Benyamin is right on the money when saying that the designs are so far different in purpose and style that it's difficult to compare.

As far as quality goes, I think you're getting excellent quality from the production market with the Cuda Max, and on the flip side you would be getting excellent quality from the custom market with the Strider AR/GB series. You really couldn't go wrong with either choice.

Hope this helps a little :) Congrats on the Cuda Max, enjoy it! I've been thinking of picking up one myself..........

I have been somewhat of a passive detractor of the Strider AR/GB's in the past, but having just recieved an AR yesterday, that has all changed now.
Any complaints or gripes I had before are moot now, as the latest generation is top notch.

I don't have a Maxx and have not handled one, but from reading the specs and looking at the purty pictures, I would think that a comparison with the Strider folders would not be favorable for the Maxx.

I will be putting my AR through it's paces in the following weeks and months, and will report my personal real world experience with the AR here, so people can read it and draw their own conclusions.
