I'm looking for more information about the Strider M4/M16 bayonet project. I've seen picutres of versions with the barb wire cutter, but I'm looking for Strider Knives that will actually attach to my M16. Does anybody have more information on this? Thanks.

Email or call Duane Dwyer of Strider Knives or contact Triple Aught Design

TAD has the D9, which is a Duane Dwyer custom. It isn't a standard model, so you're going to have to get a hold of the maker. Tell them that you want the bayonet attachments so it can go on your rifle.

Good luck,
Reed

Reed,

Thanks for the reply. I've talked to Duane before, but unfortunately due to my training schedule, and his business schedule, we never seem to be able to meet up. This is particularly frustrating since we live so close to each other. Hopefully I'll be able to soon.

It's not easy to make a bayonet attachment. It will be interesting to see what they come up with.

According to Mick, they have one. I don't know how it works, but the Strider guys usually don't to anything halfway.

Good luck and your welcome,
Reed

Duane is making his D-9 in three variants with two different blade styles. The first is his current custom that comes with an SOE sheath. The second variant will be the same knife with the cutout in the blade to allow it to function with the wire cutter on a standard bayonet sheath and comes with that same sheath. The third variant will be a full up, locks on your rifle, bayonet. Duane is waiting on some of the hardware to finish variant three, but plans on making lots of them once he has all the pieces in place. As well as the current D-9 blade style, Duane is making a tanto variation as well. More to follow as soon as I hear it from the source.

Thanks Ryan!
Yes, I am doing the three variants just as Ryan described and the hardware is the same US Govt. Patented hardware on the M9. I just jumped through lots of hoops, spent a ton of money and WHAMMO they let me order them!
Version's one and two are available now, three will be posted as soon as it is all checked out!
Thanks for your interest,
Duane Dwyer

Ryan WTF you still hanging around here for!

Duane and Mick, good talking to you guys this morning, and thanks for the parts Duane!!!!

Wouldn't it be more profitable to you if I didn't? We are trying to get some of the Gem-tech stuff for our kit, but as of now, the answer is no.
