not being an official Strider'holic, I am seeking info from y'all regarding the Strider BN - the only listing I found was on TAD (without price)...

What are they worth (say in ATS-34) in new condition (carried, unused)?

THANKS!!!

I'll give you the same vague answer that I got when I asked this question about six months ago. "It's a BT, only 10% bigger.";)

Seriously, the BN spawned from the "Seal 2001." The BN-SS is basically a Seal 2001 without "Seal 2001" stamped on it. But there is a non-serrated version of the BN as well. The guys used to have pics on the "new knives" section of the Strider website, but it is down. Correction, look at the pics under general purpose knives.

Overall lenght is 13". Cutting edge is 6". It's a little big for daily duties, but would probably make an awesome combat knife.

When new, they were around $500. I've seen a few up for sale in the mid to low $400's. And that's about all I know other than I really like mine!:D

The tip of the BN is a lot more aggressive and pointy than the BT. The BN is an awesome design; the best looking tanto I've ever seen.

If you ever get a chance to hold a BN in your hand and fondle it a bit it will forever cloud your judgement....a BT will start to seem small.

There should a pic of a BN on the STRIDER website. If not, there should be a few floating around here on the board. I have a pic posted in the "Production Knives for sale by Individuals" board under the topic, "For Sale: STRIDER BN."

I'd link you directly to the thread, but I don't know how to do that.

...and one now rests in my hands...she's a beautiful beast :D
got to give it to Strider...I can see why SEAL's would integrate the capabilities of this hunk into their weapon system...W O W!

Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me...la-la-la-la-la-la-la, Merry Christmas to me

You are a man of good taste. You'll love that knife. I know I'm going to be sorry to see mine go.

****(added the following day)****
I just checked the "For Sale" forums to see how my situation was working out and unfortunately I now have this to add...

Bullwinkle, perhaps I am being a bit of a dick here, but I take serious offense at your using MY photo of MY BN to sell yours:mad: - especially since I have plainly stated the reason I am parting with my own BN.

Take it down, use your own picture, and use your own work. I see what you are doing as taking away from my ability to provide for my family and you did not even have the decency to ask.

David

And to my knowledge, my knife (BN) is NOT a limited edition.

*If the general consensus is that I am being a tool and unreasonable, then I will back off and apologize. But right now, my gut reaction is far from amiable on this.*

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

NOBODY MAKE ANY JUDGEMENT CALLS ON THIS SITUATION RIGHT NOW!!!

I MAY HAVE GROSSLY PLACED MY FOOT IN MY MOUTH AND BE OWING BULLWINKLE MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES!!!

David

Bullwinkle and I hashed this out and it turns out this was a case of simple mistaken identity. He thought I was the David he had had dealings with for his knife. I guess that is part of the burden we bear when we wear our super secret forum identities.

At any rate, all seems to be cleared up and I for one apologize for bringing unnecessary unpleasantness here.

Merry Christmas Guys!

David

*edited b/c I noticed my poor sentence structure whe Lynn quoted me.:footinmou *

Another reason why I use my real name...
