here is blast from the past. strider BT, old school G10 handles (see pics) and sheath. i'm not the first owner, but i never carried or used this knife. this knife is in great condition-- i don't really know what the first owner did but the blade looks buffed(?) but not really sharpened. handles have rub marks from the sheath only. blade finish marks only from sheath. old school stamps and bos treat. see pics for detail.

definitely a cool piece if you're a strider collector and want into some history.

sorry about the late reply-- i don't know what the blade steel is on this knife... the steel stamp is likely covered by the G10 handles (not removable).

my guess is it's BG42, just due to the age of this knife. could be s30v, i really don't know. but i lean toward bg42 because it is old, and i know strider used to use it way back when.

i do not think it is ats34 or ats55 because the "stripes" aren't reddish in color. if i'm mistaken in any of this, please someone let me know?
