The 889s (Strider Buck Military Folder) are out.

same profile as Buck Police Knife
420HC Black Oxide-non serrated blade
Coyote Brown, Ranger Green (OD) and Black handles available
Thicker liners (see we do listen to you guys)

MSRP $80

All of your dealers can start ordering them. I think Strider already has in stock. www.striderknives.com

PS G10 and ATS or 154CM versions will follow

Great, sounds like what the Knutts have been asking for.

It probably looks just like the 887SBT Police Advocate, without the serrations and with a black oxide-coated blade.

Josh, how thick are the liners?

Cool! I can't wait for the ATS34. Green and black is a really nice combo. Any chance of some brighter colors coming along?

They just came out so pictures will start to pop up.

No bright colors.

Liners are .050 Stainless Steel

These knives also do not have PDT (the texturing on the SBT)

Here is one that someone picked up at blade, and dremeled a little.

ok im gonna wait for this one .. glad I didn't settle for the 887 sbt that thing looks killer

Buck really needs to get the web up to date. I understand the move was a big deal, and they are behind on custom shop stuff, etc, but a new product is out and there is absolutely NO reference to it on the company's web page? that's just sad in this day and age.

Knife junkies need the details! :-)

The OD green handle color looks almost black. Is the OD green handle really that dark or is it the lighting in the digital picture?

Don't see them anywhere on the Strider page. Any links to actual dealers with the OD green in stock?

I don't do Ebay.

Oh man that looks nice.. I want this one

I had a Mini drop point, sturdy but, blade was too thick to be useful.
How thick is the blade on the 889?
This looks to be a poor man's AR. I love it! I have always liked that blade shape, but did not want the serrations. Now this is the one for me. Hurry!

Good luck finding one. I can't find a single dealer with one in stock and Buck doesn't return calls or messages/emails. Not very stellar in the support dept.
