Hi, i'm looking to buy a strider/buck...

What do you think of it...Is it a good knife or i should go whit something else

Hi!
I like my Buck/Strider a lot, it's very heavy duty, i wear it when in uniform, not in civvies.
I think of it as more of a tool then a knife.
I've used it to break open ammo crates, scrape machine gun pistons etc. etc.
I like it! i could have wanted the secondary edge to be a tad sharper but then it wouldn't be as sturdy.
Please be aware that it's a large folder.

My knives!

The Buck/Strider isd definitly worth buying. I also wear mine in uniform.
I recently returned from the Combat Manuever Training Center in Hohenfels, Germany where I used my Buck/Strider every day for such things as prying open ammo crates, cutting burlap for camoflage, opening MRE's, to cutting tangled trip wire from a recovered booby trap. The knife performed beyond any other folder I own, including the Emerson CQC7 and my Spyderco Endura. While I own many high quality folding knives this is the one I choose for serious work.

Hey nick, doesn't Hohenfels just suck a$$? We went through on a rotation in Jan/96 for Joint Endeaver prep. Froze my arse off! Wish I had a Strider then!

Great blade
I have one for sale if you like.
Thanks Mike
