Strider Cryo ?

I read somewhere that Strider does a triple cryo treatment on the S30V in their knives.
If that is true, has anyone noticed a difference performance wise compared to Chris Reeve's or Spyderco's S30V for instance.

Now i know Strider edges are very obtuse, reason i thinned out the one on my SNG drop-point, only to find that the knife now cuts as well as my Spyderco Mini-Manix.

What i want to know is this ; which knife will keep it's edge longer, the SNG or the Mini-Manix ?
And has the presumed triple-cryo treatment anything to do with this ?

Is there anyone who can shed some light on this matter ?

I've found (and it's been noted by others) that Strider's S30V is softer that others (spyderco).

No I don't know how they do it, but Bos has set it up so things are were the want it... I would imagin they go softer so people can sharpen with out the need of lots of time and equipment. Hope that helps.

While thinning the edge and subsequent sharpening i did not notice a lower hardness in the Strider SNG as compared to the Spyderco Mini-Manix, it feels like they are at least equal in hardness.
The thinning of the SNG edge took me about an hour using a Smith's Abrasive clamping device with coarse and medium diamond.
Slight convexing, rather evening out the scratches, was done on a slow rotating rubber disc with silicon-carbide paper gritsize 400 followed by a few passes on the Sharpmakers fine white stones.
