Hey guys, just got my sng back from strider for some warranty work, and it's now perfectly centered, and has very solid lockup... But the pivot is very tight, and it's difficult to flick open now. If I loosen the pivot much more, I lose my centering. So what kind of lube do you guys suggest? Would polishing the washers void striders "no modifications" warranty? Anything else I could do? And would taking it apart and putting it back together possibly screw up my centering? I also have Chris reeve florinated grease at my disposal. Thanks for the advice gents.

Imo it very well could mess with the centering.

There are a few videos on YouTube that show how to center a Strider. Follow one and have your centering AND loosened pivot. Only thing is that it may, then, affect lockup. :(

I loved my SnG CC, but it really was finicky. I find the Sebenza to be a much better designed knife, but it's not as tactical in terms of opening.

Good luck!

Thanks Strigamort. My two good friends both have CRKs (large sebenza 21 and umnum) and always trash talk the build quality of my strider... But while I'm busy actually using my tank of a knife with the confidence that comes with a lifetime, no questions asked warranty, they're afraid to scrape up their precious safe queens :)

I tell them that crk's are higher build quality yes, but Striders are worth just as much considering the warranty!
