Does anyone use a Strider ED as a neck knife?

If so, does it fill that bill well? (good weight? good sheath lock? etc...)

Thanks for your replys,

Greg

GREAT neck knife. The blade locks into the sheath with a snap -- it actually helps to use a thuimb against the sheath to pull it out. Best Strider sheath I've handled, very flat, very clean. I put the chain through the hole at the end and the slot. The slot will take a tek-lok also if you like.

I'm willing to carry a bit of weight in a neck knife, but the ED doesn't come close to my limit. Very light, no problem even with the bead chain, which can be irritating with a heavier knife.

Nice grip on it, very comfortable to use, excellent personal utility knife. I shouldn't have been surprised it came sharp. :)

What are the specs on this knife? My quick 'net search didn't turn up anything useful other then pictures. How heavy? How big? Etc.?

Overall Length: 6.5 inches
Blade Length: 2.5 inches

think of it as a ultra thin fixed blade version of the PT folder.

I don't have a scale , but could shoot you a comparison pict.

Nice collection of neckers, skeletonized...heck nice collection overall. Thanks for posting the picture; good to see the relative sizes.
