I just got a lg Strider spear point folder and am rather
dissapointed in the quality of the knife. It is brand new and
there is already a bit of vertical play in the lock. Also,
the blade opens a bit beyond 180 deg. For the price, I would
expect better, especially from a company such as Buck.
I read that they will be redesigning the knife based on
user feedback. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
I appreciate any and all comments.

I dont know about your particular knife. I would suggest that you send it in right away for warranty repairs. Joe will be back here next week and may add something to that but that is the best bet.The service at Buck is second to none. Sorry I cant add more.

Send it back, that shouldn't be happening. I have an SB2, and haven't had any problems with it.
 
What kinda let me down was that the grinds of both sides are not symetrical. That's what happened to both my SP and Tanto. :grumpy:

I recommend that you send the knife in and I will have all of your concerns addressed. There should not be any play in the liner like you described. Send it in, to my attention, and we will fix it under warrantee.
