I am as yet, relatively unfamiliar with Strider knives, i have never actually seen one in person, i have only heard about them, and from what i have heard, theyre built like tanks, and of excellent quality, which appeals to me.

So, first, are they worth the money? The folders seem to cost about $350. Are they special enough, and so well made as to warrant that relatively high price? I realize theyre a much different knife than a Sebenza, but how would you compare the 2 quality-wise, is the fit and finish on the Strider as good as the CR? Is the Strider noticably stronger/tougher?

Second, i cant seem to find an online dealer who has the AR folder in stock, any ideas on who to go to?

Thanks.

Are they worth it? In a word, yes.

I have a GB in my pocket as I type this and it is one of my favorite folders. It is built like a tank and locks up bank vault solid. The AR is just as good.

If you want something a little smaller preorder a SnG. They should be out next month.

Ya, they're worth it.

I'm a recent convert. I've had an AR for one week now, and I've carried it everyday (even in dress pants today!) I bought it with the intentions of selling it for a small profit, but I have to admit, I'm in love with the darn thing. Upon taking it out of the packaging material last week, I immediately knew it was better than expected. The action is super smooth, the lock up is truly awesome, and the blade geometry is so much better than I'd expected. This thing really cuts, it's not some chunky prybar that just happens to fold and lock, it's a heck of a knife.

Now, compared to a Sebbie, that's an apples and oranges comparison. If you want a very nice knife that is shiny and slim, then get it. If you want something that is really tough, and confidence inspiring, then get an AR or GB. I have both, and there's really no comparison. They are just that different. I think both are worth the somewhat elevated price, when compared to normal production pieces.

I don't think you'd be disapointed.
