Hey everyone, I'm looking at getting a strider and I'm a little worried about the g10 scale breaking. They are advertised as the strongest knives but I'm worried that lateral pressure will cause the g10 to break compared to my all titanium folders. Is this a legit concern or am I off base here? Also should I go lego or cc for an sng? Thanks!

What do you have in mind that would potentially apply enough force to break a G10 scale? G10 isn't a saltine cracker. Aside from that, "strongest knives" is marketing hype. If millions of people aren't destroying plastic handled SAKs daily I think titanium or G10 is going to be plenty for pretty much anyone.

Off base... It's a huge chunk of g10 in the lego's. Has the backspacer built in, I don't know how it even could even break?

Your blade would snap before the G10 Gives. G10 is a very strong material. Have you tried to snap a G10 slab? It's quite difficult. I've pried and batoned with my Strider, and the G10 didn't really even flex. The blade however did flex a tad.

Here's vid of Cutlery Lover breaking his CS Recon with just G10 handles w/o liners. His blade snapped before anything else.
