If I take my Strider GB apart for cleaning and lubrication does it void the warrenty in any way?

I ask this as for some knives (Benchmade) it does and others (Emerson) it does not.

Regards,

Ed

"All Strider Knives carry an unconditional, lifetime guarantee. In addition, our knives will be resharpened, refinished, and rewrapped as often as needed at no cost to you other than return postage. -Semper Fi"

That is their warranty. I am not, repeat not, a Strider Rep., but I believe that "unconditional, lifetime guarantee" means anything goes. These guys know that knives have to be cleaned once in a while, or the wife will throw it out for smelling like fish and moldy cheese. They were designed for hardcore people, and those kind have a tendency to be in the mud and muck. I don't believe it will do anything to the terms of the warranty, and it will improve the knife performance.

Take it easy,
Reed

Hey!
Good question.

Many gun owners love Breakfree CLP which cleans, lubs and rust protects. I think you can spray down your folder with it and don't need to take it apart. I have tried White Lightning but it left some white reside. Give Breakfree CLP a try before trying to disassemble it.

Duane,

Thanks for the information and for standing by your product.

Rogue_spear,

I will take the knife apart because I like to know how my gear works. If it packs up in the field I will then have a better idea of how to fix it. That is not the time to take knife assembly 101. :D

Ed
