I just orderd a GB from TAD, back orders are around three long weeks, but it will be worth it when it shows up at the door. This should go nice with the others I have. 2 Speedtechs, Spiderco Military, Lg @ Small AFCK,SOCOM @ LCC and a custom Elishwitz Ares. I've been collecting for a while as you can tell but it's been about 2 years since I bought a new knife and after alot of research I felt that the Strider GB is the best available.

I had seen that they had some GB's at Bladeart on the internet but when I called they were already sold out. Thanks alot for the tip though !!

One Stop Knife Shop also might have some GBs, for $350. OSO Grande had some for $395 a week ago. Three weeks is a VERY long time!

It cracks me up to hear someone say that three weeks is a long time.
Makes me feel as if we are finally doing it right.

I remember people waiting YEARS for a knife from us.



<------- Years waiting? Who?

And years is ok when we get to a decade I will start to wonder. Wow how the time flies I waited for my first Strider.... I think it was like two months... of course I usually go with what is at the show at the time if I have the money...

Decade coming soon very soon hint-hint {Duane}

Sorry had to do it I cant believe some of these guys cry about three weeks. Oh well, with the amount of interest in Strider you might can make them and still profit who knows I just want mine.

Brandon & Mick, do you remember the first time you saw the girl you lost your virginity to/with? How would you have felt if some guy that was actually "getting some" laughed at you because you wanted to f*** her in three weeks or less?

I know, it's a strange analogy, but I think it fits...

I was quoted 6 months when i ordered my GB from Strider in May. I listen for the FedEx truck everyday! Its eating me up, but I'm not good with waiting. Oh well, its got to come someday:D

Damn, LOL. I hope you get your Strider soon enough. We don't want people going strange on us here. (Like starting to look like the guy in your avatar--he probably wasn't getting "any" for years). :D

Some people say the chase for something is half the fun. Sorry. In this case, you get all of the fun at the end (when you receive your Strider). It's worth the wait so don't give up. Btw, isn't it almost 7/26/02?

Man that was funny.

That was a good analogy. I can just imagine someone in Cali that fondles a new pistol, falls in love and buys it on the spot. Then has to wait, what, 10 days to take her home?

I can't wait to save up enough money to buy one.

The GB's already paid for, so its just the wait now. I bought a HT as well, and I no the GB will be worth the wait. Hang in their, you will get yours before me. Striders are the best around! anywere!

My Avitar is Tetsuo from the AKIRA comic, for the Manga fans. I liked the movie, but the comic blows it out of the water.

SOX, lol, actually my earlier comments were in reply to L.O. Little (LOL) and his avatar; however, after re-reading my post I now see how it can also be applicable to you. An unintentional hit of two birds with one stone. I sure hope you guys score on the next run. :D

Ah, good shot indeed:D

By the way, what does LOL mean. I'm not up on all the Abrev's

SOX, I'm LOL, in more ways than one. First, my initials. Second, I'm Laughing Out Loud (LOL), because Matt D just emailed me, to let me know he can have me an AR in a reasonably short amount of time!

Thanks for the explanation. I suck with Abrev's. Congrats on your good luck. You will love the AR. If its a Strider, then its the best. I know preaching to the quire;)

Keith, don't worry about the wait, it is definately worth it! I just got my first Strider, an AR and it leaves ALL my other folders for dead. Anything else now seems flimsy.

Cheers

Peter

I've been waiting for about four months for my first fixed Strider now, and from what I've recently been told it will take another few..

Besides the Strider Buck Folders that I have, I haven't even been able to look at or hold a single Strider:(

Oh well, doesn't absence make the heart grow fonder or something like that?:D

Christiaan.

Keith B and Christiaan, Peter E is right, the wait is worth it.

A good friend of mine got me to looking at them (Mick, you can thank Fred A.) The first time I handled any Strider was at a show in Houston at the old AstroArena (thanks to Joe E!) He had several on display. All of which I wanted, none of which that I could afford at the time. As the story goes, I kept looking and looking and finally (as stated above) got to handle several. All appear to be outstanding craftsmanship and quality. So when the time was right, I started my cold calls to several reps and dealers. This is when I came across Vince at Blade Art. I could hardly continue the conversation when I found out that he had GB's (freshly) in stock. In a knee jerk reaction I almost hung-up the phone in a sub-concious effort to expedite the transaction. I had to wait an entire 24 hours from the phone call to delivery. The phone call seemed to go on forever, even in light of the fact that it only lasted something like this...."Vince, can you overnight it?,...Yes, its on the way. OK, Bye." ( I'll have to leave a detailed hourly account in another thread more appropriate, sorry Fred :) Was also charmed to find out that a fellow jar head was responsible for banging the babies out. Semper Fi

Moral of the story is...the wait is worth it. You'll look at the UPS man different that day. Your signature will have a little flair to it. And the box,...uh,... it came in a box?
