Strider Ghost Stripes - any experience

Does anyone have any experience with Strider's Ghost Stripes, particularly looking for corrosion/rust feedback. I am familiar with their regular Tiger Stripes and am aware that bead blast finishes are more prone to rust than other finishes as I have seen this first hand with my Tiger Stripe Striders.

I would like to know if the Ghost Stripes offers any more protection (compared to Tiger Stripe) as I have read that it is a stonewashed/bead blast combo? Is it more stonewashed than bead blast? (Hard to tell from online pics)

Thanks.

Typically bead blasting can make it easier for knives to rust regardless of manufacturer...

Not sure how their new random marketing term stripes are made, but the normal stripes method was taking the blades darkened from heat treat and blasting a few swipes through it. Most any steel can rust, if you are worried about corrosion a nice satin finish is the way to go. Sand blasted is about the most rust-prone finish there is.

Anyone out there with experience with Ghost Stripes?
Tiger stripe, candy stripe, chocolate stripe, or ghost stripe, it makes zero difference. The coating on those knives is not designed to inhibit corrosion. It's to prevent glare, period.

Very true.

These stripes?:D

More corrosion resistant? Probably nothing noticeable. It's more stone-wash then blasted but not by a ton.

I haven't had any issue with rust and I just wipe it off on my pants if it gets wet.

If the blade is stainless, that mitigates things a bit. But apply a protective oil or grease for extra protection. Tuf-Cloth, froglube, whatever you like.
