I just got a Strider Ht. Its got a 3 1/2 inch blade, large choil and g10 scales and a sawback. This knife reminds me very much of the CRK aviator as far as the blade goes. Its thick, pointy, sharp and has a saw that looks like it would do well as an emergency tool. The choil is lareg, offering a place to put your finger and leaving a lot of tigerstriped s30v steel forward of the handle. The knife isn't light but it is well sized to carry and seems like it would make an excellent emergency survival knife also alla aviator. My only complaint, which is one I have heard from others, is the sheath retention. Not enough stick for me to be comfortable carrying the knife in the provided kydex, also the kydex just feels thinner and sort of cheap to me.Considering the price of the knife and the overall quality the sheath is very disapointing.
The good points are the edge which is wicked, the g10 which I like better then the cord wrap and the overall design which is very tough but still pointy. Another thing that I think is similiar to the aviator is the handle shape, not that the strider and aviator have the same shape but where the aviator is very round the HT handle is very blocky, not uncomfotably so but not at all refined either.
