Strider knife resembles too much a...

I don't really see the resemblance. I really like the new Strider FNG and can't wait to pick one up at this point. I love my SMF, but I really like the style of the bolsters and such on the FNG. When it comes to bolsters\scales and knife shapes\styles, there is very little that hasn't been done before.

Maybe a bit, yeah. Is there a particular Lightfoot model you're thinking of, or just in general? There's only so much that can be done with a knife, similarities are bound to happen as makers look for new designs. Also, as will happen with the creation of anything, subconscious influences will come into play. If an artist finds admirable aesthetics in something these will root themselves and express themselves in his/her future pieces. It's the nature of creativity.
Then again, maybe they straight ripped off his stylings and should be destoyed.

Could you tell me what Lightfoot knife you think the FNG looks like? Personally I can't think of a Lightfoot knife that has more than a faint resemblance to the FNG.

Well, for starter, look at CRKT lightfoot's M1.

Then, Greg's M1, C-4 and full contact fighter. I think it looks very much like Greg's Millenium Tanto blade shape.

Esav,

You hit it right on the head there! I agree 100%, and is probably why I like it so much. I've always liked the SLCC alot as well.

Paint me shocked..... Also just for info sake the bolsters are CNC'd from Ti and fitted with the G-10and they feel very smooth together.....

I REALLY like that Strider.
I noticed there's no price listed on the website.

Does anyone know if Strider does lefty folders?

Thanks,
B.

MORE than that. 700 dollar range. At least for the initial numbered run.

No, lefty folders are not on the horizon. Teasing talk about it, but so far it hasn't happened.

I'm going to have to wait until after the inital run to pick one up at this point (other finanicial obligations), but it will definatly be my next Strider to say the least.

I'll be the odd man out here and say that, while the handle appeals to me somewhat, the blade is not my cup of tea at all.
