I was wondering if anyone had any first hand expierience with Strider Knives. I saw an article on them in American Handgunner and they thought they were excellent knives but sometimes I don't trust magazines. Also I was wondering how their ATS-34 compares to Busse's INFI or Modified INFI. Thanks for any help.

Rob01,

They are every bit as serious and indestructible as the magazines say.

Check out http://www.striderknives.com if you're interested in more information. Mick, Duane, and Cormac will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Be warned, however, once you get one, you'll have to have another. I got a used Model WB and then ordered a custom Model BT to go with it. I've used the WB VERY hard and haven't been disappointed.

I am so confident that this knife can take severe punishment that I've offered to send it to Cliff Stamp (the knife TERMINATOR) to test.

Hope this helps.

I 100% agree with Brian_T. My Strider is easily the toughest knife I own. I usually try to steer away from ATS-34 steel in combat style blades, but the steel on the Striders is as tough and sharp as any other knife I own. My other knives include several Livesay models, a Greco, and a Busse Battle Mistress. The cord wrap handle provides very secure grip and also looks great.
Be warned though, Strider has about a six month wating list for civilians, but I called first just in case and they happened to have a MT model on hand which is what I wanted so I only waited a week and a half. So call first just to make sure.

I have yet to own one, but i have held one and met the men that make them... they are as tough as the knives and that is saying a lot... I would recommend one of their knives to anyone, including man planning to cut rocks!
(kids, dont try that at home)
A+ for strider

had one, a model wp. traded it but it was a dam solid knife. 1/4 inch ats34 blade. that knife would have taken a 12 guage slug to break it.

buy one. you will not regret it.

Allen,

SOON ALL WILL BE MADE CLEARER.

(You know what I mean.)

It's in the mail and on its way to you as I write this.
