strider knives

i had one. the WP which is a custom AD. it was 1/4 inch stock ats34 with a razor edge 3 inch blade and a needle point.

good sheath too.

get one. you will not be disapointed
 
I'm might be a cheap person, but what about the price? I just happened to look at the website today. How much are you really getting for your money? What about a TOPs knife? everone seems to like those, and it's less money, or what about a Livesay custom? less money there too.
 
Go to http://www.striderknives.com and see for yourself. Make sure to check out the warranty on their knives. When Mick Strider says "Unconditional" he means "UNCONDITIONAL!".

I've got a Model WB that is in Cliff Stamp's hands at the moment and a brand new Modified Model BT that is begging me to take it for a trial run.

As for the price, you should really compare like with like. Strider knives are in the same class as Busse knives and are priced accordingly.

I'm a full-time Police Officer and tactical trainer and carry Striders exclusively at work. I have found nothing else out there that comes close in a hard use knife. They are not pretty, but they take an incredible beating and keep taking it. I look at cost as life insurance. I'll skimp on non critical items, but when it comes to essential gear, I'll pay for what I want. I have been carrying a Strider (one of many now) for over five years of prying doors, windows, breaking locks, basic cutting chores, etc...no problems. I also know for absolute fact that these knives are used extensively by the military spec. ops community (Striders were unheard of outside of this community until receantly) with great success. They are a great choice if you are looking for a pure tool that will not fail you. Good luck.

The Strider guys seem to love every new "prying" story. In my line of work, thats just what I end up doing with them. Hey Tom, if you wrap the foil real tight around your head, it will help keep the three spooks (stooges?) from getting into your head.
