I have got the fever for a Strider fix blade with a 3-1/2" or 4'' blade. I was looking at the MFS and WP models. What do you all think of these knives? Do they have a Strider forum? Where is the best place to buy these knives?

do a strider MFS. IMO it's probably their best knife, for a number of reasons.

.its economical (relatively speaking)
.not too thick, like most of their knives. don't get me wrong, i love love love .25", but sometimes it's too thick to be a decent cutter. MFS is 3/16 if i remember right.
.strider warantee
.excellently sized to be a great user-- not too small but not too conspicuous
.lightweight (relatively)

things i don't like about it are:
.cord wrap (i'd love to see ones in G10 handles)
.no choil

still. a great tool.

try

tadgear.com
plazacutlery.com
truenorthknives.com
2thehilt.com

all of them will be priced at 200.00.

hope it helps.

MFS!! Super little knife with great people and customer service behind the product...Jim

The guys at Bluelinegear are awesome!! I would also suggest checking out www.tadgear.com as well, they are also most excellent to deal with. I am a Strider fan, and would also vote for MFS!!!

MFS I love strider knives very sturdy knives with great guys backin em. If you mess it up they'll fix it up.

My favorite of the smaller fixed blades is the HT, 3 3/4" edge, spine serrations, thick, built like a tank, but very nice, sharp edge that can cut well. TNK has them for $325. I also like the "SMF" fixed blade, the "CP". The "DB" is a sweet, small tanto.
