Well I just became a "Strider" member. A friend of mine put me on to a deal for a "lame" AR. Anyway, I'm only just learning about Striders, so since the troops on this board have been very helpful in the past. How'd I do.Price was $300, in 95% condition.

What is a LAME knife? How can I tell if my knife is LAME?
LAME refers to a miss-stamped knife, usually a S30V knife stamped as BG42. A BG42 knife’s stripes have a red tinge to them where as a S30V knife’s stripes are black. If your knife has black stripes with no red tinge and it is stamped BG42, then you have a LAME knife. The LAME ARs also had larger stop pins then usual and most had black belt clips. Although there were a few double LAME ARs which were miss-stamped and had silver belt clips

And thanks for the piece of knife trivia.

My mind is a dense web of trivia like that. Always room for one more bit.

And your hero, Albert said that there is no use filling up one's mind with useless trivia like phone numbers and such, when that kind of info is available in phone books. :) :p
...Although I don't know if there's such a thing as a knife trivia book...

That was a fair price. Enjoy it, they are incredible knives backed up by incredible service if you should ever need it. I carry one on duty every shift, and have taken Mick up on his lifetime warranty policy more than once. Always came back good as new.

Enjoy,
John

Oh...I'm WELL aware of that! I simply can't help it. Somewhere along the way, studying all those laws, theorems, equations, and mathematical paradigms...random bits of 'stuff' just began sticking in my head. And I simply cannot get them out. The more useless the fact, the more helpless I am (it just arrives...and stays).

Fortunately, they don't seem to get in the way of anything important. Nor do they stop me from learning new professional material.

Well. My wife says that sooner or later...probably sooner...old age will take care of 'my little problem.' I daresay she's right!;)

Sounds like a good deal to me. I really enjoy carrying mine as I moved the clip up so that it carrys deeper in my pocket. I don't know what it is about the AR but it feels the most secure of any knife I have. Just something about all those different materials coming together just right for this knife!

I love my GB the same way. The most secure blade I own. and I wouldnt mind sticking it in anything that needed sticking as Mick will always fix it if'n I can mess it up.
