Hi guys/girls...Just real quick pics (again) of the two versions of Strider lockup. I've shown my SMF/NSN (vers.2 with LBS about 2004). I've also shown my brand new SMF. I just want folks to know the difference in how they LOOK, in order that you can buy with confidence when you see one on the Exchange.

I've had quite a few of both types...in SMF's and Sng's.
I need to note two facts...and one opinion:
1) Both of these SMF's (unused, 100%) are completely non-sticky.
2) I have owned a brand new Sng with new lockup, of course, which was extremely sticky. I had to use a "lever" at one time in order to free the lockbar from the tang. It was too tight to move with my bare fingers.
3) The Strider warranty is the best I've ever "experienced." Outstanding customer service.

In general, I think it can be "assumed" that the newer lockup will be less apt to stick, but there are always exceptions. Obviously, sticky locks are found in many, many nice brands out there...

The NEW lockup is on the left; the old on the right. Note the "half-moon" tang design used with the old lockup. I've shown the folders with two different levels of lighting in order to show the tang design as well.
