You won't find many bad comments about Striders. The only complaints I've ever seen pertain more to the folders and are:
1) The finish is a little rough. But, most people buy Striders to use them, not stare at them, so most people don't care.
2) There is occasionally some slop in the blade pivot or lock, but Strider company seems excellent to deal with and fix anything that might have slipped through quality control.
Other than that, like Busse, Strider has a rabid following of people who really use, and probably actually abuse, the knives and so for a using knife I can't imagine going wrong with one of theirs. Plus, they'll replace or repair anything for life, I think, so if I really, really needed a tough field knife that's probably the way I'd go.
