I'm thinking of getting a Strider MSF for general household use. I can't seem to find much in the way of reviews. Any thoughts on this knife?

I've had multiple examples of four common Strider folders: SMF, Sng, SJ75 and the PT. They are all very nice in their own way. I have one buddy who likes a large folder and loves the SMF for daily carry. It has a thick blade, however, and is perhaps more heavy-duty than I would recommend for your general use. It has a 0.190" blade thickness, IIRC, and it won't be so good at cutting up cardboard boxes. OTOH, I would want it in the Sandbox or for heavy woods duty. It also has the longest blade length which would be useful in certain situations.
For house duty, I would be more inclined toward the slightly-smaller Sng or the SJ75; both of which have the same blade-edge length, but a much different blade profile and blade thickness. I think the SJ would be the best slicer-grind (for the kitchen?), and would save the PT for "office-carry."
Strider is credited with having a great service reputation with their customers, and you should note that the Strider is guaranteed for the LIFE OF THE KNIFE.
And, as with anything, opinions are vastly different and may be worth no more than you pay for them. Enjoy whatever Strider you end up with. I think they are all excellent.

I liked my mfs full flat grind enough I bought 2. Mine came in at .025 behind the edge. It's a great smaller knife that has a big knife feel to it.
The grip is large enough to get all fingers on board without being bunched up. I wear a Xl glove so this is not so common with smaller knives for me. The cord wrap is ok but I found I loved the blade even more after I made micarta scales for it. Strider pretty much has the s30 v heat treat nailed so edge retention is good. Have gone 30-40 cuts on single ply card board and still pops hairs.
Any other questions feel free to ask.
