Strider - new lock up question

On the GPknives website, the description of some of the striders say: "A Hinderer frame lock stop has been affixed to prevent overextending the lock."
Is this what is meant buy the 'new' lock up for striders?
If not then what does the new lock up actually mean???

Strider recently changed their old lock up geometry which was a radiused lock face (more circular) which on some striders would eventually develop lock rock to one that isn't as radiused and is new geometry to fix the old problems. There have been some cases of lock slippage though.
