DO Striders not have boxes or any literature with them. i received my GB's yesterday from TAD. They were wrapped in newspaper. This is my first Strider as well as my first post. I have a multitude of questions, however, i will hold off until further evaluation. Initial impression is " built to last ". I am by nature a perfectionist though, and will undoubtedly find something to complain about.

Striders come with no box and catalog. You will love your GB. I suggest getting the SOE pouch to go with it. It is great for belt cary and incredibly secure.

The Strider guys are hardcore, therefore, their shipping style is hardcore too. No finessing of the product, no velvet boxes nor pillow cusions with instruction manuals. They figure if you've gone this far to get a Strider, you already know something about knives and need not explain. just bare bones in your face manly man shipping. :)

I guess this is a good time to throw out the standard Strider book of knife instruction....

1. Point towards enemy.
2. Cut/Stab.
3. Repeat if necessary.

Mick; now WHICH end do you point at the enemy??? I keep getting confused! ;D

My BT came sealed in a thick plastic sleeve, no "instructions" or "official" packaging per se. (Unless a UPS box stuffed with newspaper is "official" :D)

Ya know I never got newspaper with the knives I have received... Mick and Duane must be caving into pansy shipping policies. Oh well there goes another company I will just have to buy straight from the store.... I mean who wants bad news copy wrapped around these beautiful knives...Like they were dead fish or somthing...LOL

My HT came wraped in a SOE:D It also came in a small box padded with newspaper. Reagan

My AR was in bubble wrap; however, that was probably added on after the fact by Bladeart. I will be getting some of the fleece lined Strider knife bags soon to caress my AR :footinmou .

open package. throw away everything that does not look like a knife(the metal and para cord wrapped thingy)

1. Point towards enemy...

HAHAHA! That reminds me of Claymores! Striders are so dangerous, they have to put a label on the knife which end you point towards the bad guy! :)
