I have a strider PT with a pivot screw that has three small holes. It’s rare. Not like other pivot screws I have seen on striders. I have searched the internet for the bit but have found nothing. I have posted on the FB strider forum and nothing. I have checked with monkeys edge. Nothing. Does anyone know where to find the pivot bit?

Thanks in advance

Brent

Snap ring pliers will work.
Yup, sometimes you have to get a little creative with this specialized pivots. I recently found a bicyle chain tool worked well for my traditional Strider pivot. Like he said, snap ring pliers are a godsend for these types.

PVK has tri-point driver bits for microtechs that might work. They have a few different sizes. Good luck

I just saw several different sizes of 3-pin driver bits available for sale. I can't name the vendor because they sell knives and they aren't a paid sponsor here, but if you do a Google search for "microtech anax bit" you'll find the site. It's the second result that comes up when I do the search. Of course I'm not sure if they have the size that will fit your knife, but they list the measurements for some of the bits, though not all of them.

EDIT: I just noticed that what I referenced is the same as what Jdottinger mentioned above in post #14.

This looks like it will fit. But if course out of stock. I ordered something similar from a rando site and it turned out to be a micro version of it. I’ll keep my eye out for more of these. Thanks!

I use a pair of Channellock snap ring pliers on pivots with holes like that. They came with several size pins, so I just use the ones that fit the particular holes. These pliers are also perfect for popping the locking rings off Opinels.

Do you know what size the PT would use. They have 2mm, 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 4.9mm??
