Strider pivot?

So I was wondering if Strider used loctite on their pivots, because I just bought one form a member, and it's for sure a Strider, but I can't seem to adjust the pivot at all, even with a proper spanner tool and hex key. This isn't the first Strider that's passed through my hands, but this is the first that I've had this much trouble adjusting.
Any help would be more than welcome, and thanks in advance guys!

They do typically use loctite. You can either heat it up by putting a soldering iron in the hole and holding it there for a while or by soaking it in boiling hot water for a min or so.... Should loose 'er up a bit.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Strider may have pressure-fit the pivot with the loctite, which would have made it extremely hard for me to adjust. I might try heating up the pivot like you suggested, Archieblue, and I think I have a soldering iron somewhere around the house. To be honest, I've always been cautious about doing that, but I'm getting to the point where my OCD will win, since the blade is a little off-center...

I'm pretty sure the previous owner wasn't able to disassemble the knife because he never had the spanner tool, and I'm in pretty close contact with him on the issue, so I don't believe it was anything he did.

I'm inclined to believe it was Strider, because the blade is off-center slightly (no danger of rubbing at all), that pivot isn't going anywhere, and we all know any good knife nut wouldn't be able to stand that ;)
