Aside from the Cold Steel Tuff Lite, are there any other knives similarly sized and ergo'd (where the blade choil becomes an extension of the grip)? I can't think of any and I'm sort of surprised that it's not a more implemented design concept for shorter blades.

In the Spyderco line, the Chaparral and the Urban (discontinued but available) might fit the bill. Also, take a look at the Three Sisters Forge CCT.

Knives like the DPX HEAT or the SOG Flash II are vaguely in the ballpark, but lack the deep choil.

Edit: Spyderco Cat is another option.

Brous Blades Silent Soldier Flipper is similar in this fashion, though rather than a choil, it uses a hole in the blade to extend grip. This allows for a bit more cutting edge than with a choil. Mine is easily my favorite knife.

Thanks. The DPX HEST is pretty interesting. I'll have to look into that more.

Good call with the Silent Soldier, I forgot about that.

The spyderco chaparral is the closest knife I can think of to the PT. Both have very similar blade shapes and sizes, as well as having the same blade steel an finger choil. I have the PT and dragonfly2 and my chaparral is the closest.
