Strider PT pivot screw ques

The pivot screw on my PT Strider is loose so the blade wiggles. After some research it sounds like a #10 Torx driver is needed to tighten the screw and it seems to have worked expect now it is too tight so it is difficult to extend the blade. However, if I loosen it to where I can extend the blade more easily then the blade wiggles and the pivot screw is loose. It doesn't seem like there is an in-between. Any advice? Thanks
 
That sounds not unusual with the PT. You may have to tweak it till you get to that sweet spot. Unfortunately, that may not happen. I had one that would constantly stay out of tune and got rid of it.
 
Could also be debris in the pivot area. Flush the area with some WD-40 and hang it upside down for a bit. Then try adjusting it again.
 
turn the pivot around in a 360 degree and find the "sweet spot". do so by rotating the pivot a few degrees and check for smoothness opening/closing
