I'm considering buying a Strider PT from a friend of mine. It has a finish on it that I haven't seen before other than a couple of pictures online that look similar. The Ti side and the blade appear dark gray/ black but I don't think It's the cerakote finish. I would describe it as a dull charcoal colored finish. It is definitely not stonewashed. Does anyone have an idea what this finish is or when it may have been made? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
is it rough to the touch? If it is, then bead blasted comes to mind although i'm not sure if Strider has done bead blasting. just my 2 cents
 
Not sure if this helps, but I got a Strider PT in mid-2012, new from KnifeArt. It was described as a Strider PT Coyote Tan, Blasted and Black Blade.

The blade is a dull and rough-ish charcoal-y color. The finish is a little uneven, in a few places it is more gray and sometimes darker.
 
Picked up the PT, I believe that it is bead blasted. Thanks for the input guys!
