A little small for my taste. I prefer(actually love ) the SnG.
They make them in batches and seem to make them less frequently than other models. There was both a CC and a Lego in the exchange earlier today.
The performance MSC PT is worth a look also if it is within your budget-they pop up from time to time in the exchange. I don't know if he has made any new ones recently.

I find it curious that there is a similar thread about the 3-inch XM-18 model being unavailable as well. If it weren't for the constant availability of the small Sebenza and Inkosi I might suspect a conspiracy against small, high-quality production folders.

Same problem , different maker. You are right CRK does seem to supply the small side very well.
While the PT really wasn't for me, I am very fond of the 3" XM-18-especially in non flipper form.
I like the small Sebenza as well, but haven't gotten around to the Inkosi yet. Heard good things though.

If you've never held one before, you really should try to get one in your hand. I knew all of the dimensions before I purchased my first one, but it was still smaller than I expected. Still, it's a very rugged little knife that can stand up to "reasonable" hard use. I was going to stick it away in a mini kit bag, but then I came to my senses & used a Cold Steel Mini Lawman for that purpose instead. The PT was way too expensive to "stick away", at least for me.

Personally, I don't like the CC model without the clip. It's already a small enough of a knife that you can just slip it into your pocket. Even if that's how I carry a PT, I would like the option of using a pocket clip. Just my own opinion & observation.

I have handled one and I loved it, but this was at bladeshow a few years back and at the time I couldnt afford it.

I LOVE the PT! It is one of my favorite knives. I currently own a Dog Paws PT CC. I REALLY want an MSC PT.

Had one for I think about two weeks...it's a mini SnG, but just way too mini for me.

It almost felt like a toy, I really couldn't take it seriously, and I am a Strider fan.

I bought mine on the exchange here, they still pop-up fairly often...

As long as you don't pay too much over retail, there is always a good market for them if you decide to sell. I say they are too small for me , but it hasn't stopped me from buying a 1/2 dozen or so and latter releasing them. Why? -is between me and my psychiatrist :).

I really like my PT, my biggest complaint wasn't the size, but the ride hight of the knife clipped when clipped to my pocket. I remedied that with a low ride titanium pocket clip.

Love the PT... wish I still had one. Ive noticed too when looking a few weeks ago they seem scarce.

Love mine:

Mind you, I live in NYC, so the whole concept of the PT-CC is right in my wheelhouse -- the size is right and it all but disappears in my pocket ("fifth" pocket, included). Don't let the small frame or blade fool you, however, as the ergos on this little guy fit large mitts just fine and it can handle pretty much all the EDC-type cutting tasks you can throw at it.

Regards,
Adam

The XM-18 is available as a non-flipper ?

I have small hands and the PT is one of my favourite knives. Due to the high riding clip, I removed it from the lego and both are carried deep pocket.

At one time-They are secondary market now. Hinderer went to all flippers-timeline would be early gen 4 3.5"
I have heard a rumor they may come back, but it cold be just that a rumor.

Interesting. I'll keep an eye out. The flipper aspect is what keeps away from Hinderer.

Can anyone post a pic of a pt compared to a small sebenza or small griptillian? Or delica?

Here you go, sir:

I think the PT CC is a lot better than the regular PT, but for some inexplicable reason it lacks a clip. Nathawut Petchkong came to my rescue on that issue:

While the PT is a small knife with a small blade, due to the choil design you can get a very good hold on it and very good leverage on the blade. It does act bigger than the size would make you think, and can handle a great many jobs well. Of course also due to the choil design you loose some blade edge.
No clip on the CC to make it a complete concealed carry. The MSC performance does have a clip.
