I really want to get a Strider PT or the PT CC. I love the little blade, choil and handle as a great design. How many of you been using this knife? Any problems with blade-play? Loose bull-pivot? If I were to get a PT CC is it possible to put a clip on it? Also, I have been looking around. No one seems to have any in stock. Is Strider still making the PT?

They haven't for a while so all available stock sold out. They are currently making a new run of PT's in all configurations (including CC). As far as the clip, I'm sure STR can get you fixed up.

I had a PT and sold it, primarily because it is so small. This is not to say that you should not go for it, but if you haven't had your mitts on one just note that its a small knife - probably a little smaller than a Delica if I recall.

I own a one since 3 years and an half. No blade play, no loose pivot, no one problem. As Powernoodle said it's a small knife, 2"13/16 blade length, 2"3/8 edge length but it fits my medium size hands. Be aware of this: the blade thickness is 3.2 mm and the cutting ability is not the best one. However, if you look for a strong small pocket knife you won't be disappointed by the strider PT.

When I am on duty, I usually take my Para-milli.... When I am in the office and making UPS runs, doing chores like breaking down cardboard, cutting plastic painters drops, I have been sporting the Chive. Its pretty small. But I wouldnt mind something a wee bit bigger and have a little more purchase than the tiny Chive. I like the Chive, just want something I can give a beating on and I want to splurge on a high end knife :)

first off go texans

I dont know if you will be able to find a pt, and getting a cc will probably be impossible. I guess you could go for the SNG, but if you want a smaller blade, you may be sol as far as a strider goes. Maybe you could try a small sebenza or one of the william henry knives if you really want a quality semi custom.

I bought one for my best friend as a Commissioning gift upon his return to Active Duty as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer.

So far it's been through Infantry Officer Basic Course and is off to Ranger Course in a few weeks. He loves it. For general Soldiering duties -- opening MREs, cutting parachute cord, but also being stout enough for other tasks and light in weight it works well.

The PT is a great knife, I have one with a clip and only use the clip to aid in grip while I flip it open(I have monkey hands and it is a small knife). The clip seems to leave almost half the knife out of your pocket, I am sure STR could mount it in a more "carry freindly" spot, or just go for the CC, I am sure a lanyard could aid in the opening
