To strider owners, does the wide end of your Strider take up a lot of pocket space? It seems that wide leggo end would make it tough to get your hand in your pocket to get coins out or something like that.

It's like running the back of your hand over 80grit sandpaper for my lego. CC isn't an issue. I try not to keep anything else in that pocket regardless of any brand knife I carry including slipjoints.

Does it take up a lot of pocket space? Yes. But otherwise it is light weight considering its substantialness. There are certainly knives that offer more carry comfort but the SnG floats my boat enough to be worth it's slight bulkiness.

Mine doesn't seem to take up a whole lot of space.
I have no issue sliding my hand in my pocket(I have the Lego version) and yeah the back is kind of wide but it's not too wide.
The knife is overall lightweight and thin for being such a beefy pocket knife.

What everyone said. Pros and cons for anything. I like utilizing the best tool for the job. I can live with the small inconviences. I carry a SMF on duty and a SNG off. Its the lightweight, toughness and strength that appeal to me. I can take the callus or two.

The most I keep in my front carry pocket besides the lego SMF is a ballpoint pen. That goes for non-Strider knives as well.

To me, that's not really an issue with a knife like a Strider. I don't carry it around everyday--I think of it as a special purpose knife--for major tasks. Knives that disappear in the pocket can't offer what a strider offers and vice verse.

Thanks for the replies. I' may have to get one just to see how I like it.

I have a SNG CC, SJ75, and a PT and all three ride pretty nicely in the pocket. Don't really have a complaint about any of them.

I know what you mean, but you get used to it. I just kind of twist my hand a slight bit to get into my pocket. I will say that if you've got a Lego SMF and are carrying a pistol OWB on the same side... getting into your pocket can be a hassle at times haha.
