I just got my Stider PT back from them(Strider w&r) and while the action is much easier and smoother the blade is still not cenetered although it's much better than it was. Another plus is they didn't charge me for shipping because they took so long (Around 2 1/2 months) but my question is...

I'm looking at the lockup and it looks like only a tiny bit of the lockbar is touching the tang, is there a reason for this? Is it by design? What is the benefit of this? Has anyone here had any problems related to this during hard use?

Thanks.

I tried sharpening it on my aligner kit and dmt stones because almost half the blade was dull and I noticed this is one of the most uneven sharpening jobs I've seen. I'm going to have to send it in to someone.

And still you haven't come to the obvious conclusion. Striders QC sucks.

They didn't give one. I sent one last email basically asking what the he'll is going on and got a response from the manager (not Josh) saying he would ship it out and not to worry about the shipping, I asked what was done and if the blade was centered and I was told the blade is centered, they adjusted the lock bar and sharpened it.

I got the knife and and half the blade was dull and the degree is so lopsided that my DMTs won't even dent it on one side and the blade is not centered. But on the bright side the action is much easier, the lockup is earlier and the blade is a lot less uncentered plus I didn't have to pay shipping, not that I should of had to in the first place but whatever. I doubt I will buy another Strider.

Good call, I gave them 3 tries. A PT CC, SNG, SMF. All were fitted like cheap chinese crap.
Some here try to justify this, (in their own minds). Probably because they spent so much on them. By saying they just need to be "broken in" or the blade pivot "tweaked".
