Strider questions

I searched, but nothing came up...

While reading about Strider knives, I noticed references to knives' Generations - SnG Gen3, AR Gen5, etc. Could someone explain the difference(s) between generations? Are newer generations better than older? Do all knives have gone through various generations, or just some of them? I'm particularly interested in folders; what's the current generation of most popular folders such as SnG, SMF and AR? Thanks in advance.

Search for the Strider faq done by HKSIG45 . It should answer most Strider questions. The current models though are:

SMF Gen 2
SnG Gen 6
AR/GB I think are Gen 2s
