I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a Strider SMF Marsoc. Is that a good model? Everyone has the things at the exact same price, is there any way to get a discount on a new SMF?

Yes it's good. Big, but good.

As for getting a discount, very unlikely but I suppose its not impossible in the truest sense of the word.

got one in the pocket right now...i would like a CC version a bit better but its a great knife non the less...idk about discounts...

Does anyone know how the digicam finish holds up on their blades? I've been tempted by one on Knifeart, but I'm afraid it'll scratch too easily. Any info on what it is and how it holds up to real use would be appreciated.

If you got the money go for it. I love my SMF DGG. If you don't like it you can always sell it on the forums.

the digicam finishes are pretty durable, the tiger stripe less so.

you'll get a better price if you can find one used on the exchange here.

the smf is a very tough and large folder. i had one, and just found it too large for pocket carry. i prefer the sng, though the smf has a more usable blade length, imo.

The Marsoc is Gen.2 I believe. The current models of the SMF have a few

different features than the Marsoc does.I dont know what the changes are

thou.

I have a cc stonewash SMF I got here on BF for a Very Good price.Mine is

very comfortable to carry. ;)

True North Knives has some Marsoc SMFs on their website

I prefer the CC version for EDC carry, with the regular when I can wear jeans.

Either way, great knife.

The only way to get a discount is if your active Military or Law enforcement, That is ordered direct from Strider.
