Hi!

I've got my brand new Strider SMG Lego classic on hands for EDC -- I do like big folders for everything (outdoor, camping, barbecue). Its sticky -- but sharpie do the work at the moment.

One thing I'm curious is how long it will last before sending it back to fix lock rock? There are many rumors out there that in a year or so there will be lock rock present.

Guys please let me know what do you think about it if you've used SMF Lego for quite a while?

Thanks in advance.

If it's brand new you might never have to send it back for fixing the lock. Its got the new straight lockface. As for other maintenance it'll break in very nice and be buttery smooth. A dash of wd40 will be all you need. Don't take it apart and use it hard.

I love my SnG

Hey man, no worries. Just use that knife and IF you have to at some point, just send her in.

I've had mine for about 7 months and I am starting to get a lot of rock. That said though I did hard use it a bunch of times in that time, even doing some light-medium chopping. I think I'm going to send it in soon. Does anyone know if Strider will ship to New York City as that's where I'll be for the summer? I bought the knife from a different seller and I just don't want to send my knife in and have them not be able to return it to me. Thanks

I edc an SMF everyday, IF lock rock occurs just send it in and they will fix it, as long as you don't mod the knife.I'm OCD about blade play and I have some side to side play in my brand new SMF tanto, I've been trying to get the play out with my spanner tool and an allen wrench, and I've chewed my pivot up pretty good, I just emailed Josh to see about getting a new pivot, as I can't stand the way this pivot looks, It functions ok as of right now , but if I adjust it anymore I may strip the pivot so I loctited it , emailed josh and told him if it gets worse I'm sending it in after blade show...

The fix to a sticky lock is more break in time. The lockface needs to wear into the tang. I have never had a problem with lock rock, and I'm on my third strider.
