Strider SMF PD 1?

I am about to make another Strider purchase and was eying a SMF in PD 1. Does anyone have any experience with this steel? I have heard a little about its strength and edge retention. Has anyone used one for long enough to have some concrete results? How does iit compare to the z wear? Basicslly my decision thus far is only based on looks as I don't have a shop near me so I can physically look at it.

Also I am new to the Forum. I have lurked for a little while. I have to say this is a awesome place and I am glad to see there are plenty of other knife lunatics out there. In the last month I have bought a Strider smf, a large sebenza and an XM -18. Will it ever end? Hah

Awesome trio, What a score. Welcome to the forums. I have seen that steel pop up more and more, but still have not heard a lot about it.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the SMF PD 1 with black g10. I can't wait to fondle it! It should look pretty sick with the black handle and black blade! Big thanks to Knife art. They seem like a great place to do business.
