Strider SMF Question

So I recently purchased a Strider SMF and found a quirk that I was wondering if it was normal. When the knife is in the closed position, it is possible to push it in further closed until it hits the blade stop. I'm guessing that the detent is holding the knife closed and is not completely in flush with the G10 blade stop.

Does anyone have a similar issue? Thanks for reading.

Loosen all the body screws. Take your thumb and apply pressure up on the ti side and take your middle finger and apply downward pressure on the g10 while doing that tighten the body screws and your detent will be perfect. Trust me it will work. Hope this helps.

Striders are beautiful and sturdy knives, but they have a reputation for poor quality control.

I've had a couple with a little wiggle room there as well. The thing is that nobody makes a folding knife quite like Strider. The way they feel, sound, look, warranty, ect. I've not found a single knife that does not lack something but I have found that the Striders are my all around fav. I say don't worry and use it like you stole it!
