Hey people, i was planning on buying a Strider SMF Tanto or Mission MFK1-Ti Folder Tanto. i was wondering if anyone can give me more information on both of thies knives cause they both are heavy duty knives but they both pretty expensive and im not sure which one would be better worth the money cause i've never held them ore seen eather one except in pitcures and knife reviews.they would beuse for heavyduty work and also since im a USN Corpsman i would need a knife that can handle and survive marine deployments but also be a EDC, and weight isn't a issue for me personally. so which one do you guys think is better?

The SMF, being the folder made for USMC Force Recon can likely stand up to a Marine deployment. Mine did (I wasn't Force, I bought my own). That's not to say the Mission wouldn't though. I would suspect the SMF would hold an edge better, being a steel bladed knife.

The short answer is, what do you need it to do? If cutting is your primary concern then get the Strider. If corrosion resistance is higher on your hierarchy or needs, get the Mission because the blade is titanium.

go with a strider RW-1. it is probaly the toughest strider pocket knife made. (its just an smf with a differnt blade)

It's also no longer being made. It was just a 3/4 grind tanto with a fuller on the spine. Not really anything to get too excited about except that it's different.
