A while ago I was looking for comparative pictures of these two knives together and couldn't find any. Well, I got a Strider yesterday and if it helps anybody, here it goes with a few comments:
Both are beefy mofos.
The Strider is bigger and feels bigger in the hand.
The difference in blade thickness is 0.05".
The Strider has the longer blade, but the Umnumzaan has a longer cutting edge. Also, I believe that the Strider is meant to be used mostly with your index finger in that first choil (on the blade), eliminating the "advantage" in length in most cutting tasks.
In fact, with the index finger in that second choil, the knife feels a little bit unstable and you lose control. However, I believe this holding configuration and the longer blade probably offer an advantage in leverage/momentum for activities like chopping wood.
Both are quality knives and you can tell it in the details. Both blade tips are perfectly grinded. I wish I had taken this particular picture with a camera and not with my phone so you'd know what I mean by it.
