Strider SMF vs 560/561: Size comparison and build quality

I have a 561 and have been scoping out the SMFs. I'm wondering if it would be worth adding an SMF to the stable and getting rid of the 561. I don't really need two overbuilt folders. I figured someone would have done a comparison b/c they seem similar in size but couldn't find one. Wondering if anyone has pics they could throw up with a visual comparison and commentary on which they prefer. I know they are both quality items in their own rights and far more overbuilt than I would ever use them for.

Thanks,
Hawk

Personally for me, it's 560/561 all the way. The SMF is a tank of a folder, but not in a good way for me. I could more easily carry a small fixed blade like an izula (even in pocket, the SMF is massive in the pocket) and even though an SMF is probably as close to unbreakable as it gets, it is still a folder.

The 560/561 is a big knife, but it carries surprisingly well (especially with the deep carry pocket clip). Also, the 560/561 performs in cutting tasks better IMO...the SMF is REALLY thick.

I am a HUGE SnG fan, but the SMF is just too much in my opinion for EDC. That being said, if I was going on a deployment, I would clip an SMF to my gear for sure.

I should note that I am referring to the regular Lego versions of the SNG/SMF. I have no experience with the CC or DGG.

I've had both and regret getting rid of both! My favourite was the SMF I had with aluminum on the non-lock side in S35vn. Both are excellent knives so I really won't attempt to tell you what you'll like more... I didn't find it hard to carry in pocket in jeans, it's definitely not a small folder though!

Here's some comparison shots of my alum. SMF with some other well known knives so I hope this helps a little bit; I don't seem to have any with my old 0560 though...
