Hi,

Well, after a long wait of 24 hours :), my SNG has arrived! Neil at True North Knives was true to his prompt and fantastic service!

Here are some pics. The fit and finish are perfect.

Thats one of the nicest looking striders that I've seen. Well done on your selection.

It is?! ...... I know it's not rust; but the blade looks like it spent a week at the bottom of the ocean.

Dig that digi-cam!

I'm really liking the look of the brown/black digital finish. Sadly, I got my SNG before that finish was available standard. :grumpy:

Congrats on a killer knife. It's only going to get better. :)

On a side note- What's with the purple trim on the Protius? Or is that just the lighting? Mines definately black.

That's just the lighting and/or the digital camera. It's black trim in real life :)

The Digicam finish really holds up very well. Mine has shown a great resistance to any type of marring on the finish.

Great choice-it is a beauty!

Congrats, but the blade looks off center. Might just be me.
:) You're probably not off-centre ;)

My AR is about the same... it's almost bang-on - I wonder if it's more difficult to have a dead-centre blade with the larger knives (perhaps a small amount of deviation is accentuated through the length of the balde), or if the pressure from the strong frame lock pushes it a bit.

In any case... I'm very happy with it!

Great looking knife!! I just ordered my firts Strider (SNG). It should be here Monday or Tuesday form True North. That picture has me all amped up as I really don't know what to expect, haven't had the chance to play with one. If it looks like that I'll be happy.

i wonder if the colors on each sides are different?
No... they're the same on each side. I'm not great with the digital camera and then getting the pics ready for the web, so the top pic has higher hue/saturation settings (that's why the black trim on the Maxpedition pack look somewhat purple)

ah man ... I miss my sng.:( what a great edc knife - in fact the best production folder I've ever owned. your going to LOVE the choil when you start using it for various chores. congrats!!
