Ok so about a week ago i recieved my first Strider SNG GG with the Camo finish on blade. The Problem is that when i touch the blade and carry it for about a day or two, these little tinny looking rust blemish spots grow around the camo blade but mostly around were my thumb opens the knife. I have been rubbin it with honing oil which always removes everything "these spots" of the knife.

So what product can i use so the these spots wount appear on my blade every couple of days?

I also dont like carrying a blade that is all wet with honing oil, I would prefer my blade to be dry. What should I do?

This is a Strider so i dont understand why the finish is doing this so easily.

what is this Finish on the camo strider knifes? Beadblast?mine is a Gen 6

I also have a ZT 0302 or 0301 and the finish on that knife is similiar but never did what this strider is doing so easily. I would literally have to leave my ZT wet or super super finger F #$ ed so it would create this rust blemish stuff to it. And the Honing oil like always took off all this rust spots stuff. HELP PLease Anyone

Welcome to the forums.

I don't have any experience with the camo coatings. What I usually do for those spots is to rub then out with a product like Flitz, Peek, Mothers Chrome Polish etc. They will usually leave a protective coating after the rust is removed. Tuf-Cloth and Marine Tuf-Cloth works great to protect it after the rust is removed. It leaves a dry protective coating. Eezox, Tuf-Glide (main ingredient in Tuf-Cloth) and Militec are also dry lubes that provide protection. There are also a few others out there that I sure someone else will bring up.
