Strider SnG "blade" length?

Everyone has their own idea of how to measure the length of a knife blade.

For this exercise, I'd like to know the distance from the tip of the blade to the handle. I've seen "blade length" advertised from 3.25" to 3.75".

Well, the SMF is 3' 14/16 from handle to tip, dunno about the SnG however.

That has always been my inclination as well, but I'm not sure that really "adds up" with the official OAL of 7.75".

From the handle to the tip mine measure right at 3.5" The SMF from handle to tip measures 4.0"

Cool, that's what I would have guessed.

As long as it's not >3.5", I just may have to have one...

The sharp part on my tanto is right around 3"

Yep---From tip to handle--3.5". The sharpened edge is alot less..

Mine is a tanto, so it might be different.
