Looking for an edc on patrol and off duty. Can not make the call on which of these 2 knives to get. Any input would be helpful.
Thanks

The only difference between the two that I would consider is the zaan is smoother in the pocket for carry over the DDG, I got rid of my DDG for that reason. It is sweet as all get out, but using the clip was difficult and in the pocket was wearing out the pocket. If you get the SnG in lego, then it would be a tough choice. They will both serve you well. Or, get one now and the other later, you can never go wrong with a good back up.

I have an smf lego Spear point, just want a tanto and honestly, the smf is a little big in my pocket.

The Strider's blade is 0.190" at the spine, while the Zaan is 0.140". So the Strider will make a stronger prybar. The Zaan is much nicer/easier to carry. Yes, the Double Gunner Grip is hard on pockets. Lego is much nicer. DGG is excellent, though, when you're wearing gloves. Great traction.
Thank you for your service.

Unless your have little girl hands get an SMF :) strider also has some crazy tough steels (3v, pd-1, z wear) that you could beat the shit out of and not be too worried. I just picked up another SMF in pd-1 which is very similar to 3v.

I'd say get a Zaan for off duty and an SMF for on in 3/4 tanto with one of the 3 steels mentioned. Best of luck! Shoot me a text if you have any questions.

If you like the size of the SMF in your hand, the SnG DGG will feel small. Look at a Lego.
